Meeting was called to order by Marilyn Burton, Pres at 7:00PM

Marilyn gave a brief overview of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

Dave Mason discussed the need for parent volunteers and the importance of them to the Band Program.

Tattoo - Dave explained a little about the history of the Tattoo which will be held Sat, April 5th. It is an outdoor performance at Dunedin High School and is a military type performance. Many clans will be represented and it is a highlight for the Dunedin Scottish community.

Tattoo: Marilyn discussed the need for approx. 10-12 parent volunteers for the tattoo and sent a clipboard around for signups. Also need (2) parent volunteers to help hand out props on the field (they need to wear black). Students need to be at Dunedin High School at 2PM and meet in the auditorium. Students need to be wearing the proper “under uniform” attire. Shirts and white above the knee shorts. Uniforms and Instruments will be on the school trailer at the High School. The Tattoo begins at 7:30 PM and lasts until approx. 10PM. Our band is the last band to play in the first half of the program and then again at the end of the evening with all bands.

We need parent volunteers (men) to help set up the Castle at the High School on Sat, March 29th 9AM – 1PM.

After school rehearsal for Tattoo on Thurs, March 27th from 4:15 to 5:15PM.

Discussed Dunedin Highland Games (Sat, April 12th). Need approx 27 volunteers to take 2-hr shifts working in the Soda or Food Booth or be a runner (needed to carry change and sometimes ice). Clipboard sent around for volunteering. Proceeds from these games are given back to DHMS. Volunteers work tents with volunteers from the High School.

Pipe Band won 1st place at Zephyrhills Games.

Discussed - Concert Band Evaluations at University of Tampa (Sat, May 3rd). Need (2) couples (guys/gals) as chaperones. Students will be leaving DHMS approx. 7AM. Band performance will be 9AM. We are the first band to perform, after which, students change out of uniforms into street clothes and are taken to Busch Gardens (approx 11AM – 6:30 PM) for an afternoon of fun. Need chaperones to be in charge of 8-10 students each. Clipboard sent around for signups.

Discussed St. Augustine Trip for Highland Band (Sat, May 31st). Still need (3) chaperones. Clipboard sent around for signups.
